Weather Rant and New Photoshop
I HATE snow right now! I also hate Washington's transportation system. WORST. SYSTEM. EVER!

I had my last HTML Level 1 class tonight which I left at 8:50 and I didn't get home until almost 11:30. Boo :( Thank goodness I had my iPod along with me to a least save me from boredom, if not freezing.

Then, the second bus that I took didn't have chains so it wouldn't drive to my stop so I got to walk home from the park & ride. Joy.

The only bright spot in an otherwise shitty evening was that my Adobe Creative Suite 2 Premium (including Photoshop CS2, Illustrator, Indesign, Go Live, & Acrobat) arrived at the bookstore. So, three cheers for student discounts....YAY! :) So within the next day or two I'll be posting my last batch of icons made with PS 7 and soon I'll get to post some with Photoshop CS. Hopefully CS doesn't have a steep learning curve and my newer icons won't have to go through a suck period.

Hope everyone else's weather is better!

What?? How can you hate snow??? I'm so mad I'm missing it. :(

Though true, Seattle transportation is terrible when it snows. It amuses me how the entire city basically shuts down with the slightest amount of snow. Heh.

I usually love snow but only when I don't have to venture into it. What I don't love is this snow a little bit/freeze a lot BS. I wish it either wouldn't snow or would snow a ton so all work/school would be closed.

Right now though, I'm in the process of cheering myself up with my new software and I think I'll further cheer myself by reading some fanfic.

BTW, I love the snowflakey Jensen icon! If I was sharing snow with him I might not feel so bitchy! :)

Yay new icons!

I'm glad I don't have to rely on public transportation. It sucks that it took you so long to get home :( I'm loving the snow right now though.

Public transportation in Seattle is sorely lacking. Stupid rich people who don't want to pay extra taxes for monorail building. :( But even with very delayed buses it frequently a better alternative than driving. No one in the Seattle area knows how to drive in snow (or rain, interestingly enough) and people are constantly skiding out. Also, there are so many hills here that people frequently have to abandon their cars to get home.

I just wish it was really snowy so I could go jump around in it. Right now it's just about an inch or two but everything is sooo icy & cold.

Haha no one in Vancouver really knows how to drive in the rain or snow either. I haven't driven since it's snowed because I don't want to get in an accident. My sister and my dad are very competent at driving in the snow so I'm lucky.

It's only an inch or two in Seattle? That sucks. It's quite a lot here. Though most of the snow is kind of crusted with ice so it'd be painful to jump into it.

It's funny that the people who really should know how to drive in crappy weather don't. It's good that you know competent snow drivers. Everyone I know just ceases to drive when it snows.

Yup, only a couple of inches in Seattle but the further out you go the snowier it is.

Oh well better safe than sorry, I suppose. Though if the weather gets crappy, the public transit should step up to make up for less cars on the road.

Yeah, same thing with Vancouver, the other municipalities have much more snow.

You will love Adobe Creative Suite 2. It's a really cool update to the software.

Adobe has actually released a beta version of Photoshop CS 3. But all of the features are not available in the beta version. The full version is scheduled to be released in spring 2007.

*PSSST, FYI: I teach Web design classes at a local community college, and you, my friend, most definitely have a talent for graphic/Web design.

You will love Adobe Creative Suite 2. It's a really cool update to the software. I like it so far, though I'm still getting used to some of the differences between it and Photoshop 7.

*PSSST, FYI:I teach Web design classes at a local community college, and you, my friend, most definitely have a talent for graphic/Web design. Thank you for saying that, it means a lot. I majored in Sociology in college & while I might have been good at it I decided I wanted to do something I'd love more, hence the graphic design courses. It's always scary to change direction like that so comments like this make me want to keep doing what I'm doing. Thanks! :)
